I live in NYC with my parents who are both disabled so they can't drive me all the way up to Bing (if I go). Can I take the Shortline? Am I allowed to bring all my bags on the Shortline? Would I be charged extra for the bags?

Also, since both my parents are disabled, is it very easy to get home from Binghamton should there be a medical emergency? Are there Shortline busses that travel into Manhattan everyday?

You can take either greyhound or shortline up to Binghamton. If you have more than 2 bags you might need to pay a little extra but I’m not sure. There are at least 7-8 buses a day that go from Binghamton to NYC so you shouldn’t have a problem. Also, if there is a real emergency, there is an airport in Binghamton that flies to JFK so if you really needed to get home, you could always fly home.
