Hello all!
I would like to know which is easier/cheaper/quicker

I have a choice to go from San Antonio Tx to LaGuardia or Newark

LaG has a bus that goes directly to CU but everyone complains that its late an hour and cramped. bus is 3$

Newark Has a train that goes to penn station I believe. Train is like 6$ to penn then 2$ to CU

I may be arriving late at night the day before DOC which is safer. I will be traveling stand by and may miss some flights so I am worried about not making it to DOC thus coming a day early.

just arrive at Lag, and take the M60 directly to Columbia. It’s quick and easy. $2, ~30mins or so on the bus, and it comes pretty frequently.

agreed, laguardia is the easiest trip to campus by far, the bus is fine - lga is the end of the line for the bus so when you get on you are one of the first people. it is not late really (no one really follows the bus schedule), and there are plenty of busses that run pretty frequently.

Yeah, Newark is surprisingly far from… well, everywhere in new york. You’ll take an Airtrain out to the rail link station (20 mins), wait for a train into town (10-20 mins), take the train into penn station (20-25 mins), navigate penn station to the 1 train and wait for a train (10-15 mins), and then ride the 1 uptown to Columbia (20 mins). Trust me it’s no fun.

Stick to LGA. It’s convenient except at rush hour, and even then it’s not total armageddon.

hey thanks a lot, this helped me decide which airport.

Take your G550 into TEB – is there any other way to go? ;)
