Good evening helpful people! Son is in a dorm and would like to know how to use the bus system to get to Wal-Mart or Target. Does anyone know the easiest way? Ideally, he would also like to buy a bike there and ride back. Is that doable? Thanks so much!

The 1 goes to butler plaza and he can use that to get to and from.

Also you could take the #12. Bike ride would be tough and not very feasible: especially coming back with merchandise on the bike :

Use the RTS website provided.

Assuming he does not live at Lakeside, it is best to use a Bus to go to Butler Plaza. There is a Walmart AND Publix there.

This is a live GPS feed of active buses at the moment.

The route 1 bus (as well as almost all the other routes) run through Museum Road and stop in Baety and the other major stop before the Reitz before making a left on Center Drive and then to Butler Plaza.

Thanks all! He actually found it yesterday using the #12 bus. He didn’t like the cheap bikes there. Next stop, Craigslist.

That GPS feed of active buses is great!
