I already have in mind the teachers I’m going to ask for recommendations for college applications (my calculus teacher, my English teacher, and possibly my history teacher), but I’m wondering what I’ll need to provide for them if/when they agree to write my letter. How can I find out what I will need to supply them with, and where/how they can send their recommendations?
Different teachers may have a form for you to fill out or something like that. If they don’t, it might be helpful to type up a short résumé with accomplishments and extracurriculars.
Where/how will also depend. I think the Common App makes you invite them electronically and they submit it online. Other schools may require your guidance office to send copies (physical or electronic) on your behalf.
