I signed up for a triple in Sproul 6N, but I'd like to switch to a triple in Rieber Hall 6S because that's where many of my friends ended up. I'm not exactly sure how to go about attempting this--should I find someone in Rieber 6S who wants to switch to Sproul 6N and somehow orchestrate it with them, or should I stick with Sproul for now and then submit a Change of Assignment Request after I have accepted my current offer?

You should be able to do it through the Room Sign-Up system that’s currently open. If not, you can just call or visit the housing office and they’ll probably do it for you.

So even if there are no rooms currently available on the floor I want, I can find a current holder of one of those rooms who wants to switch and then make it happen through housing?

Hmm, that makes it a bit more dicey. Now you have to convince someone to move out so you can get on the floor, if I am interpreting what you are saying correctly.

But I believe so yes. If you can get them to go with you to the housing office and both of you want to switch, I’m sure they can make it happen as long as all affected parties (ie your entire room and their entire room) are present and consenting.

Yeah, it is best to sort things like this out ASAP rather than wait. Plus then you don’t have to worry about it or have to move your stuff when you do get here.

Okay, I just got into contact with 1 of my future roommates and she also told me about my suitemates, her friends, and it’s not going to work out (due to preferences), but I signed up with a friend. What now? We want a plaza with a shared bath that’s not Summit. Should I just call housing?
