hey, I was wondering if ppl could share what they do when they encounter fiction passages on CR...Is there anything that each of you do that is different from what you would do on nonfiction passages?

Lol. I remember taking an SAT when I was in 7th grade for some random program called Duke TIP. I also know that I have this problem where I have hate focusing on things that I don’t like reading - just like the rest of the world. So I used to like “sleep” read the passages and I never realized I wasn’t giving enough attention to the passages. As a result, I bombed the answers and ended up scoring rather low. All I do now is focus 110% on the passages - if something becomes blurred and I begin to phase out (like how sometimes you can read a paragraph and not soak in the information), I go back and reread it asap. Rereading it then and there - the understanding and comprehension of it - helps a lot in the long run.

^ that always happens to me. i’m in a sat prep course and whenever i do the CR sections, especially the ones with the long passages, i end up spacing out and having to go back and read it again. >.> i hate it when i have to read the whole thing in order to answer the first question
