I guess we just respond to caffiene differently. A jolt of caffiene or sugar usually gives me the push I need to study or finish something.

Numerous health studies show caffeine to be an inefficient supplement for energy in the office environment (of course the bias of the studies is apparent; they are mostly from health companies).

FOr the PSAT, practice tests help a lot. Do a few sectons. Add more each time. Soon, you'll be able to go for three hours no problemo.

Caffiene NEVER helps me. It doesn't do anything at all. Niether does eating or any other tips people give. But having some good music or a funny talk show helps me a lot.

Whenever I do math homework, I HAVE to listen to my iPod. Otherwise I'm asleep in 30 seconds. That's the only way I can stay awake doing boring math homework. Singing along to the songs also helps you have more energy and helps keep you awake.

Am I the only one that scares myself awake? Whenever I got sleepy I'd watch one of those Flash videos where it's a still picture but then something randomly jumps out and makes a big noise after like 40 seconds...

Good tips on this thread. For real energy, I work out and eat good foods. But more often than not, I need false energy. Tips:

Take a nap in the afternoon if you know you're going to be up late. That way, your body will naturally get tired at a later time than usual.

Take breaks. I work for 50 minutes, then walk around or get a snack or something for 10.

Set your environment up for working. I use a desk (not a bed) and I turn all the lights on in the room.

If you're still falling asleep at your desk, try getting up and washing your mouth out with mouthwash. I also like the idea about washing your face and hair.

There is a difference between energy that merely keeps you awake and energy that keeps your vitality HIGH (where you feel ENERGIZED during your work). This type of "vitality energy" makes you more outgoing socially and helps you maintain a positive attitude in all activities you involve yourself in.

If only I knew how to get more of THAT type of energy .

Girls... girls give you energy.
