How to help a non-competitive kid navigate a competitive climate

By far the worst year of middle school for DS was the year the principal allowed the teachers to choose which platform to communicate assignments. Each of his main subject teachers chose a different approach: paper syllabus, PupilPath, Google Classroom, teacher’s personal website, old fashioned chalkboard and one refused to do anything beyond a verbal announcement. For a kid with ADHD and major executive function issues, it was a complete nightmare, and made me long for the days when all assignments were written in the upper right corner of the blackboard, for no reason other than consistency.

@sunnyschool I despise with added venom, google docs. Was always raving about sharing privacy etc. kids thought I was nuts until kid#1 lost all docs when s/he went to a new school.
BS should all use private, protected systems and all teachers should be obligated to use it. Not only for the kids with exec func issues but also so parents can look at school communication etc in one place.
