How to help ACT Science?

I can't get it.... and my scores are 10 points lower than the other sections. Any advice? Thanks!

This is what has helped me.

Order
1.Do the Data Analysis passages first, they have 5 questions each.
2. Research Summaries second, they have 6 questions.
3. Save conflicting view points for last, 7 questions.

5 minutes per passage.

I mark up all graphs and label the tables.
Some people read the questions and go right the the graphs/charts. This has not helped me, but I do it if I am running out of time.

Use real ACT tests to practice with and time yourself.

Good luck, @wchristen89

Read the paragraph at the top of each section. Then jump into the questions. Use your fingers when referring to graphs. In the passage with several scientists, the differences are almost always in the first and last sentences.

Take 2-3 practice science tests untimed. Take as much time as you need. Just do your best. After that, analyze your results. Total all missed questions across all tests. Categorize them into piles such as Details in Graph, details in passage, dumb mistakes, had no clue, etc. Assign the correct percentage of the total questions missed to each pile of science questions. Determine your top 50% of greatest weaknesses. Work from there.

The science test brings most scores down simply because in general students can freak out on this section. It doesn’t matter if you don’t get to the last passage or two, work your way thru, calmly and in a controlled manner. Use logic and thing of graphs and figures as math questions. Transfer your math ability to the science section.

Hope this helps!
