How to improve ACT Reading? Please help I'm desperate!

<p>Any tips on how to improve ACT reading?? Got my scores today and i got 35 on English, Math, and Science, but a 24 on Reading. Please help me I'm seriously desperate!!!!! The reading test is what is killing my college apps!</p>

<p>Also, are there any tips to just calm down before the reading section? One of my problems is that when I get to the reading section I know it's my weakness and so I get super nervous and queasy which negatively affects my score too. Please help I'd love ANY tips! Any strategies on how to approach it and take it. And what should I use to practice? Any way to go faster because I always run out of time too? Thank you so much!!</p>

<p>Just practice like crazy. I recommend using Baron’s ACT, the Red Book, Baron’s ACT 36, and Princeton Review 1296 questions. I used them to study and I got a 32. Still worse than my other subjects, which are similar to yours (just got math 35, science 36, English 34, reading 32), but I guess 32 is decent. These books will definitely help as they provide many strategies to approach the reading section, especially the Barons books and the red book. Good luck!</p>
