How to improve ACT reading score???

I am taking the ACT in 3 or so weeks and although I do need help/tips for the other sections I really need advice for the reading ACT section!!! What can I do to improve my score the quickest? I have 5-6 ACT practice books and I will be doing as many practices as I can but any other tips? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Use real tests. And time yourself. I do one section per night on school nights. On SAT or Sunday I take a whole test. I grade myself on each section. Then I redo the incorrect problems only.

I took tonight off to see Catching fire. It was very good.

Hi Vaishs-
One of my boys historically has found the reading sections of standardized tests very challenging. He improved his scores by doing 2 things a)reading the questions first-before reading the passage, and b) taking practice tests (as others have said).

Experiment with reading the questions first and see if that helps. This strategy is not for everyone (it slows down my other 2 kids), but it really worked well for one of my boys, so you might want to give it a try.

Good luck!

That is what I have been trying to do! Thank you so much!

I tried this and realized that actually reading the passage before trying the questions helps me more even though it takes up some time! I tried experimenting with both ways and changing to reading the passage first really helped! Thank you!
