How to improve composite by 4-6 points? (PLEASE HELP)

I took the April ACT and got a 25 composite, and studied a little here and there for the June ACT, which I only improved by a point.

For the April ACT, i got
Eng-26
Math-25 (had an issue where my calculator wasn’t allowed and had to borrow my sister’s old calculator which I had no clue how to use)
Reading-24
Science-25

For the June ACT i got
Eng-28
Math-24 (I have no clue how i went down…)
Reading-30
Science-22 (this really shocked me. I knew that I only guessed on the last 3 question of the section, and thought I did well answering all the other questions… This section brought my composite down a lot)

Even though I improved for the June ACT, I feel like i could’ve done better with more sleep and less anxiety about it… I’m really discouraged that I only improved 1 point when I thought I did so much better ! :frowning:

My goal is to get a 31 or 32, and I will be taking the September ACT and most likely the October one too.

Any advice to improve my score?? I can definitely say that science and math are my weakest sections, but my math scores when I did practice tests at home have been in the 29-31 range, so I’m not really sure what to do for it. Science I have just been doing practice questions, but is there a strategy any of you use?

Take a bunch of practice tests and look at your mistakes. I also have Barron’s 36 which talks about helpful strategies.

there’s no magic bullet. buy a good book or two, start 4-6 weeks before test, study 45 minutes per day, on weekend take full test. My D used the black book for act and meltser for english. alternatively you could try prep scholar, they guarantee a 4 point increase or your money back.
