I am currently a freshman in a highly competitive central Jersey high school. I am interested in building up ECs for eventually applying to Brown PLME. My weighted GPA is currently a 4.8, with unweighted being a 3.85ish. I am in mostly honors/ap courses and plan to finish 8 ap courses by the end of senior year. I am trying to improve my extracurriculars and hooks for PLME. SO far i have:
- eagle scout (150+ hours of community service)
- executive board of medical exploring program at St. Peters university hospital
- about to begin working with a doctor at St. Peters (shadowing, research, etc.)
- Work experience at a cub scout day camp
- I plan on doing summer at brown, summer at princeton, and summer at yale by the end of high school
- organizer of annual toy drive for local food/toy pantry (going on 4 years)
- varsity wrestling
- HOSA (prob executive board by senior year)
- science olympiad
Hooks: first generation american, indian american interested in medicine, etc.
Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting into PLME by senior year, whether that be ECs or general tips to strengthen my applocation? Thanks in advance!
