How to improve ECs for Brown PLME

I am currently a freshman in a highly competitive central Jersey high school. I am interested in building up ECs for eventually applying to Brown PLME. My weighted GPA is currently a 4.8, with unweighted being a 3.85ish. I am in mostly honors/ap courses and plan to finish 8 ap courses by the end of senior year. I am trying to improve my extracurriculars and hooks for PLME. SO far i have:

  • eagle scout (150+ hours of community service)
  • executive board of medical exploring program at St. Peters university hospital
  • about to begin working with a doctor at St. Peters (shadowing, research, etc.)
  • Work experience at a cub scout day camp
  • I plan on doing summer at brown, summer at princeton, and summer at yale by the end of high school
  • organizer of annual toy drive for local food/toy pantry (going on 4 years)
  • varsity wrestling
  • HOSA (prob executive board by senior year)
  • science olympiad

Hooks: first generation american, indian american interested in medicine, etc.

Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting into PLME by senior year, whether that be ECs or general tips to strengthen my applocation? Thanks in advance!

the college summer camps are not worth the money and won’t help you.

Just FYI, being Indian-American and interested in medicine is not a hook.

I agree with what the above poster says about summer programs.

First-gen American is not a hook – first-gen college is.

My advice is to avoid this website for a couple years, do things that you love to do and try to make a positive impact on your community.

And instead of going to the college summer programs, get a summer job.
