Let me say right off the bat, I'm not good at math. I got a 60 in Math on the PSAT. Although I studied some for my first SAT I in March, my Math score only improved to a 630. It's my worst section. I'm trying to get a 700+.

1) My first question is, how can I improve my SAT I math score? I studied for my first SAT I with Barron's. I reviewed most practice sections and did problems within the review sections, but I only completed one practice test. Is the best way to improve to go over the review sections again and make sure I know all the rules/formulas/problem-solving techniques, or should I just do practice tests and review my answers?

I've noticed that the same types of problems repeat themselves over and over (which might lend itself to the former method). I know that practice tests would improve my speed, but realistically, if I don't even know how to do a problem, it's not that great to have extra time at the end. I don't have much time yet I need to improve a lot, so I am trying to find the most effective method?

2) My second question is, how can I do well on Math II? It is required by some of the schools I am applying to. (I want to major in Bio.) I will have not taken Pre-Calc by the time I need to take this SAT II. I am planning to self-study intensely for a couple of weeks before the June SAT II. What book is the best for someone who is self-studying some of the Pre-Calc info and is not too good at math? I'm wondering if Barron's would be too thorough (again, I don't have time to waste). I am trying to get 750+.

Sorry that was so long! But I would appreciate your sincere advice. Thank you!
