The first time I ever took the ACT I got a 24 without studying at all. I studied and took various practice tests and got everywhere from a 26 (the begging of my prep) to a 30. On the real ACT that was this June, I got a 29. I am looking to end up with a 33-34. I've signed up for Princeton review for the ACT but I feel like that won't be enough to get me to my goal. Does anyone have any tips as to how to reach a 33 on the ACT? Thank you in advance.

If you took it once and got a 24 and improved to a 29, then I’d say 29 is near the maximum you will get. I’m not saying it is impossible but it is very unlikely. If you do end up taking it again, a 30 would be a more realistic goal. All you can do to prepare (unless you want to spend large amounts of money on a tutor) is to keep using practice books.

A 33 is doable if you focus on your problem areas. I had scores like yours- in 8th grade I scored 24, the next year I got a 29, and now I have a 33. I went to a 3-day prep camp this summer and that really helped.
