<p>Hey everyone,
I am wondering what my chances of getting in are and what I can do to improve them.
I am currently a Junior.
I go to the top public high school in the state of Georgia.
SAT= 2310 (one sitting)
SAT Subject= will take in June, hoping for high 700s in Math 2 and Chemistry.
GPA= 3.95 UW
Rank= top 15% (weak point I know but again it is at the top school in the state so it is highly competitive)
APs= AP world=5 This year= AP Lang Ap Calc AB AP Chem Next Year= AP Lit AP Calc BC AP Bio AP Micro AP Macro
EC: Beta Club, NHS, NHS in Science, NHS in Spanish, Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Track, Varsity Math Team, Instructables Club (Co-founder and officer), Medical Society, Volunteer at a local hospital, Volunteer at a local charity (President of Junior Executive Committee at the charity; led committee in organizing annual easter egg hunt for more than 150 Foster Children for 3 years in a row)
Awards: NMF (not official but got 225 PSAT) AP Scholar with Honors, Second Place in the State Science and Engineering Fair
What should I do to improve my chances?</p>
<p>Show why you are interested in UNC above other schools. From a stats standpoint, you are definitely competitive (except for the 15th percentile, though that sounds absurd with a 3.95UW).</p>
<p>I would worry now about the ‘Why Carolina?’ vs. others schools.</p>
