How to improve my SAT score?

I've found it really hard to improve my SAT score significantly whether I study on my own or take a course outside of school. Is there any tip that can actually boost my score up? eg, what programs to take, specific strategies, etc.

Thanks!!!

Practice, practice, practice. Do practice tests from the blue book

Courses and outside help is useless IMO. You need to find the strategies that work best for you.

Just practice, I’m not even kidding. The first time I practiced for CR and it went up 100 points. The second time I practiced for math and it went up 100 points. Don’t believe any BS that you can’t raise your score. You definitely can.

Well for CR all you can do is practice, practice, practice and learn vocab.
Both the Barron’s book and the Collegeboard book are great for SAT prep.
But the Princeton Review book has great strategies for math, I did that and it really helped as you save time.
Also instead of only learning new words, read magazine such as the economist and the national geographic as many CR passages are like that.
For writing, practice as many essays and decide on certain examples that could be used in various topics, best being books and history.
Prepare as much for the exam as the SAT truly tests how much you have prepared for the exam :)
