My younger brother got his PSAT scores back. He got a 73 on the critical reading section. How can he improve so he can get an 800 or at least close to an 800 on the reading section of the SAT (and an 80 or close to an 80 on the PSAT)? He's still a sophomore, not a junior yet. He got all the vocab right on the PSAT, so I think reading comprehension is what he needs to focus on improving.

Reading Comprehension? Read.

Well, he has been reading all the books assigned in English Honors class. What else? The newspaper? Which ones? Should he be taking notes or anything as he reads?

Reading editorials might help and practic tests thats about it

I’m a sophomore as well, he should focus on Princeton review’s SAT book along with the blue book and Kaplan 2400. Make him practice each weekend
