<p>Going from a 620 to the 700’s will take hard work.</p>
<p>Sentence Completions are easy to study for—you just need to study vocabulary intensely.</p>
<p>Get Direct Hits Volumes 1 and 2, and go through every SAT practice test you can find, looking up the definitions to words you don’t know.</p>
<p>Reading a Kaplan SAT Score Raising Classic or two is also a good way to learn a lot of vocabulary words. </p>
<p>Reading passages will be harder to improve on—I don’t really think there is a good strategy other than repeated practice, and religious application of the following golden rules:</p>
<p>1) The correct answer is always supported by something in the passage
2) An answer’s being “true” doesn’t make it correct—an answer can contain a “true” statement without being the best answer for that particular question.</p>
