How to improve writing score?

Maybe I just suck, but I've been stuck in the 65 score since pretty much LAST SUMMER. I haven't moved up, even though I read so many grammar books and understand so many concepts now. But no, I'm still stuck at this score!

I've already read silver turtle, barron 2400, and others. But for me, whenever I read those, I never really feel like it's completely new stuff. Like yeah, I get it when they write a question so BLATANTLY OBVIOUS. But on the real SAT, they aren't like that!

Too all of you who score above a 650 (gratz to you!), how did you do it?

It is about visual clues, not grammar lingo. You need to come up with a rule of thumb which you can figure out on your own (it’s not hard) to use on each question. Hint: make a list of the most common TYPES of grammar errors they like to test on the SAT. And look for them one by one using an process of elimination. It’s magic and you will shoot up to an 800 in 2 weeks (provided your essay doesn’t s—)

Can you give me some examples?

Subject-Verb Agreement. Idioms. Diction.

Well I know the rules. But I get 7 wrong in practice.
