Does anyone have any advice as to how to approach the thank you letter for the interviewer after the fact?

yes good idea. bump.

i had an interview at haverford in april, and in my thank you e-mail to my interviewer, i thanked him politely for his time, for being so nice and easy to talk to, and i recalled a few funny exchanges we had had or interesting things we had said to each other. i don't know if this is the "right" way to write a thank you note, but that's what i did.

Well, first off you obviously need somewhere to send it to, preferably a house or office address or an e-mail if this is what it comes down to. And basically just say thanks for taking time out to interview me, I'm sure busy this and that. Thanks for your informative responses [assuming you ask and should ask questions about the college], I feel like I have a better perspective of college in question and I am very interested in specific college. Say thanks again and sign your name. Shouldn't be much more to it than this, just something short and sweet. The fact that you even chose to write and mail a letter is what really shows your interest in specific college, and what you write is basic filler stuff.
