How to know if a girl like you or not

<p>I just transfered to a new school. There's this girl, after I introduced to her, freaked out right after class running to her friend, saying there's a ____ (my race) just talking to me. I couldnt hear the missing word, but one of my friends told me the girl freaks out around boys.
So I played it cool, but this girl, for some reason, just looks at me a lot. Sometimes she looked at my face, or eyes, or my neck lace when I looked away. When I turned my head up, our eyes met, lingered for a second, then her eyes diverted.
Whats going on?</p>

<p>You know, I actually just looked up that thread. Man I can’t read clues for ****. And I highly doubt myself now in terms of getting that girl.</p>

<p>I just checked out the thread; I (as a girl) found some of the tips inaccurate, though I could imagine them being accurate for another girl (for example, ‘likes you if she stares at you a lot, makes eye contact, then looks away’; some girls are socially awkward and just do that to a lot of people, others do it because they’re interested; or ‘likes you if she laughs at your jokes’, which should be tweaked to ‘laughs even when you crack a really lame joke, but not when someone else jokes’).
See how she treats you in relation to other guys she’s just as more acquainted with; her ‘hints’ are going to be different than those of another girl’s.</p>
