How to learn arabic?

<p>Considering that OP's name is CIA I do recall that the FBI and CIA have a shortage of agents who know Arabic and Middle Eastern culture. Look into that because the problems in the Middle East have been pervasive for thousands of years and it isn't going to stop any time soon.</p>

<p>After learning the basics with Rosetta Stone or whatever, you should get an English/Arabic Koran so you can compare the two languages together and learn about Islam. It's also good to have an English/Arabic Bible if you are a Christian.</p>

<p>isn't arabic only spoken in western arabic countries? i know that in iran and afghanistan they speak persian. it looks like arabic, but is like spanish and english.</p>
