How to leverage a PWM internship?

I'm currently doing a wealth management internship with Merill Lynch for the winter and part of spring. I'm a sophomore right now and I'd like to land maybe a boutique ibanking or some "more advanced" finance internship for the summer.

Since the PWM is my only real job so far, I'm sure recruiters would be asking me questions about it. The problem is that I've really just been doing a lot of b*tch work (cold-calling, "researching," and helping my supervisor set up seminars). What's the best way to make this internship sound good to recruiters?

Unfortunately, once you make a PWM internship sounds useful, the interviewer would instantly know that you are bsing. Don’t try to convince the interviewer that you have learned much about finance on the job. Just tell the truth, and try to spin it in a more positive light. Something like cold calling is honing your interpersonal and communications skills, don’t stretch too far though. People go from PWM internships to BB S&T and IB all the time. Good luck.
