How to make non-cliche?

<p>My essay's about a really rare disease that I have that's affected a large portion of my high school career, but I don't want to run the risk of writing the typical I-am-dying-get-me-into-college essay or any other kind of cliche like that. I know I can already tie it to my love for medicine, but is there any other advice you can give me?</p>

<p>They offer examples of “good” and “bad” essays, of differences between cliche and a noncliche treatments of illness, death. </p>

<p>Make your essay personal, detailed, honest and revealing and you’ll have a noncliche essay–because the essay will reveal your unique personality, experiences, and interpretation of your topic. Aim for something so personal that that only you could have written it.</p>

<p>Don’t worry about essays being cliches as long as they are personal and passionate.</p>
