I really hate school, I'm a huge procrastinator, and I'm really slow at doing my homework. How can I finish in 3 hours or less?

Do some at school? You can’t really change procrastination habits, and how slow you are, unless you REALLLYwant too…

I used to have problems with stuff like these. I’d have only a moderate amount of homework but I couldnt be able to sit still for the longer homeworks, like taking notes, reading, writing essays etc. What I’ve found to work is to listen to long tracks of instrumental music. makes time fly by

I agree with College123college - Find some time to do some of it at school, either during lunch or a free period or in homeroom, etc. If you can get 25% of it out of the way before the school day even ends, then that’s good. Last year, I had a study hall where I used to do my Latin and Trig homework, and then in the morning, I usually went to the library before homeroom and tackled AP World. That left me with only a minimal amount of homework left when the school day actually ended.

Thanks for the tips:

1) Do homework at school whenever you get a chance
2) Listen to music when doing work

What about studying tips? I rarely/only sometimes get 100’s on tests due to a careless error in Math, or a detail on the test that I somehow have never seen before in my entire life. How can I make sure I know the tiny details?

Also, take breaks when doing homework. Nothing makes me procrastinate more then when I have a lot to do, so I’ll take breaks every 15-20 minutes. Nothing long, just like 5 minutes or so, but it helps.

You can’t study every little detail, you sometimes won’t get that perfect 100. You just have to try and find the most important things to study and the stuff you don’t know as well. You’ll figure out what works.

On math tests, never turn the test in unless you absolutely MUST. That is, hold onto it and double, triple check your work and only hand it in when the teacher starts collecting them. On other tests, sometimes you just luck out. If the tests are based on a textbook, make sure you read it on your own time. Getting 100’s on tests isnt as important as long as you can manage 95s ish. Make sure they cant take points off from your other work, like homeworks, classworks, projects, etc.

well be cautious about listening to music… If you find that it’s tougher with the music, stop immediately. It all depends on the person. and don’t listen to Lil Wayne… if you are going to listen to music, it probably has to be soft, classical music.
