How to not make stupid errors in the SAT math?

<p>Re-check your work. I would also advise not looking at the answer choices until you’ve done the calculation (if you can do it; you can look at the answers to ballpark it if you get stuck for some reason, but you shouldn’t be getting stuck on very many). Many answer choices are decoys and are selected because they are good decoys (i.e. they are the result of common mistakes kids make). So, do the work, check to make sure all your mathematical calculations are correct - you would be surprised at how many people mess up on simple calculations - and then look for your answer among the answer choices.</p>
