How to notify university about transferring out?

<p>Hey, guys.</p>

<p>There's a good chance I might be transferring to a different school, so I was hoping to see if anybody on here went through some kind of notification process with the current university.</p>

<p>Should I write a formal letter? Or should I email my adviser? Or should I call my adviser?</p>

<p>You can just tell the registrar that you are not attending in the fall.</p>
