What are some ways to pay for college without financial aid or loans... do you know of any scholarships that are still taking applications?

Also I am a transfer student

Not really. Most scholarships are awarded by colleges themselves and tend to be for freshmen rather than transfer. Other scholarships are hard/impossible to get, only last a year and are worth a tiny fraction of actual costs. Most students net more money in a part-time job than they win in equal time invested in applying for scholarships.

Worse, most colleges will subtract any outside scholarship winnings from any institutional grants/scholarships, so the student doesn’t make a dent on their own expected cash and loans outlay.

Make sure you have a cash, work and loan plan that works, because you can’t assume or reasonably hope for the scholarship fairy to meet the gap.

What schools are you looking at? What can you afford? What is your line in terms of total debt you don’t want to go above?

I am transferring to Santa Clara University, my dad is willing to help out and can cover most of the cost, and I’ve been looking for a part time job for the past month (hopefully I’ll find something soon and have some money saved up). Though, santa clara is pretty damn expensive and it’d be nice if I could get some scholarship or something to cover even a fraction of the cost ie maybe something like 10,000 a yr. Just because my parents are getting pretty old and have other plans with there money so it’d be nice to take of some of the burden off.
