I think i’ll be attending UCSD for CS from this fall, but being an international, it’ll be tough to pay the 60k fees!
since UCSD doesn’t give fin. aid or scholarships to internationals, i’m looking for other ways to reduce the looming 60k
i myself thought of the following ways, please tell me hwo to go about and how much i can expect to get:
- get work in college
- summer internships
- student loans (hope it doesn’t come to this!)
So please enlighten me on the 3 abovementioned points and feel free to suggest any other way !
Thanks!!
Hi, I also have questions regarding my aid for UCSD.
I received 16k in aid, and I have about 16k left. I got work study, so it’ll lower the amount to about 14k. Is 14k too much loan to pull out per year? Also, what’s the maximum you can work before it counts towards FAFSA/IRS? I’m thinking of working part-time this summer.
If anyone can answer, thank you!
With a student visa, finding a job that will come close to covering your expenses.
I’d suggest the price is absurd and, unless your family is very wealthy, it doesn’t make sense to pay that amount for 4 years for a bachelor’s degree. If you take $200k in loans, you simply won’t be able to make enough to effectively service your debt.
How about studying in your native country and coming to the US via a study abroad program?
