i have no idea how i pay the fees to ucsd
and when do i get the financial aid money? will it appear in my bank account ??
ALSO, UC grants cover textbook fees right?

You pay them…via tritonlink. Bill Pay. You’ll get it after your fees are due (if you have any leftover). It’ll appear in your bank account if you’re enrolled in direct deposit. Not really? You can calculate how much you need and how much you’re given. It’s not hard to. I can’t really say if it’ll cover your textbook fees since those are different for everyone.

we get our aid AFTER the stuff is due?

You get leftover aid after the bill is due, yes.

Whats the most you’ve ever had of leftover aid? Just wondering.

last year i had $1300 each quarter. but that’s because my dad took out a crap ton of loans.

^^So basically UCSD pays your stuff for you, then just gives you back whatever is left? No stress? So… What do you do with the leftover money?

exactly. don’t stress about it.

i bought books, accessories for my macbook, groceries and uhhh…went shopping:)

how do you have money left over?
you on a full ride?

Haha you guys must be instate I wont have anything left over when its 35k a year ****!

The most I had leftover once was $400… that all went to food D:! I generally had leftover aid because the loans I took out combined w/ grants and whatnot were more than the cost of tuiton + housing.

@paradise17

Awesome! But I don’t know if I’ll have anything left over. -_- They estimated my cost being 28k (instate) and I got ~$20k in grants. I took a 3k loan too, so so far it seems I’ll just be saving what I can.

like i said, my dad took out a crap ton of loans. basically my whole “aid” was loans.

keep in mind that they also factor in living expenses, so you might have some left over. it depends.
