hey guys, as an international i am applying via mail, and now i am kinda wondering about the application fee...
can i send a cheque, and can i even pay it online (via credit or debit card??)
sorry so ask you guys such questions, but the admission office would reply too late (i honestly have to mail it tomorrow ^^)
thanks!!

Sorry, no CLUE. One example of the MILLIONS Of reasons I tell my D repeatedly NOT to wait until the last minute for ANYTHING!

I know your check would have to be in YOUR currency, and I don’t know that you can PAY online but not submit the application online.

Ummmm…Go to your bank? Any large bank with an international presence? I know my bank WIRES money for me all the time in another currency. I wonder if you can pay them in your currency, they convert it and issue a check or money order in another currency? The fee might be awfully high. I pay about $50 US to wire funds in another currency. That’s all I can think of. I know American Express can issue money orders in another currency but one used to have to order them in advance, it was a long process. Now of course people carry cards. My bank also charges me a lot just to deposit a check that was drawn on a foreign currency, so I doubt Princeton would accept that … the fee would be half the total check. ??

Is there no place on the application itself that speaks to the fee? Maybe a separate form you can print that is to record your credit card number?

no it´s weird. well, one of the reasons i tried to submit the app before last minute… well, i am not in school anymore. i work. unpaid. many many hours per week in community service, at least you would probably put it that way. try and prepare something so extensive as a princeton application in 2 months while working 40 hrs a week. sorry, but you should first know someone´s situation before telling them what they should have done.

but thanks for your advice. i don´t think it will be that complicated, my parents live in the us. as far as i know (and i looked it up etc) there are no instructions regarding the payment. maybe you wait??
anyway, thanks for your help!!
