how to pick a lender

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm new on this board. I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience w/educational loans and could give me some advice? Like how to pick and choose between all the different lenders regarding a federal loan. Also if I want to take out more educational loans (alternative loans?) does it make a bigger difference what lender I pick? What should I consider when I'm picking? Sorry I have no idea how this works, thanks ahead of time!</p>

<p>Perhaps its easier to first pick the "loan" and then pick the lender, afterwards.</p>
