<p>Hey everyone, I hope all is well!</p>
<p>I recently purchased the BB and would like to know what is the best method for me to study from it. I took the SATs in May for the first time and received a 1750 =(. So i would like to at least get a 1900, or maybe possibly a 2000 in October when I take it again. In addition to the BB, I also have two books from my Kaplan SAT prep class, which was a waste of money btw. </p>
<p>So how should use these materials to study over the summer? I've already started memorizing words from PR's Hit Parade to help me with Critical Reading.</p>

<p>Have you ever heard of the Direct Hits vocab. books or the Rocket Review book. They are probably the best resources for SAT prep. Try memorizing the words in Direct Hits and reading through Rocket Review. Then, you could practice with the BB. The strategy worked for me.</p>

<p>Yeah, probably. I don’t think bookstores like B&N have DirectHits or Rocket Review. So yeah, Amazon would probably be a good choice.</p>

<p>whats rocket review good for? im sorta weak at long passage reading, i got about 1-3 wrong and 0-1 wrong on SC. i fail the writing section… and math is getting slightly better.</p>
<p>If you’re not doing well on the Writing section, let me recommend English 3200. The publisher calls it a “programmed course”. Basically, it asks you a ton of questions (around 3,200, actually) that move you and your grammar knowledge along in tiny little intervals. If you work through that book conscientiously, you’ll know all of the grammar you need for the Writing section.</p>

<p>P.S. Do NOT spend $1,000 on Rocket Review! It’s a good book, but it’s basically an expansion of the first 400 pages of the BB.</p>
<p>I have the first edition(?) of the BB with 8 tests and its completely marked up and i think i may throw it away. How many versions are out for the BB? I am thinking about getting the newest one(2nd?) edition and doing that. If i throw my first version away, will i be throwing out any tests that arn’t on the new version? and whats the overlap?</p>
