hi,all
First, I don't know how to choose a good topic. I am afraid of choosing an unsuitable topic.
Moremover, I don't know how to use body language during a speech to make my speech vividly. Can someone please give me some advice about what I should avoid?

just get up there and talk about whatever your topic is. obviously prepare ahead of time by having a general idea of what you’re going to say, but otherwise get up there and talk. don’t overthink things.

Thank you. I really saw a lot of people put their hands in their pockets and fidget. Your advices are really useful, and I will go to ask my teacher about the body language.

To have a general idea is really important. Thank you.

Eye contact is very important when giving a speech. When choosing a topic its best to choose something you are passionate about or would just enjoy talking about. If you enjoy yourself your audience will enjoy your speech.

I believe that Eye contact is very important, and it helps me to catch judge’s heart. Thank you :)

I like to write down exactly what I’m going to say on index cards and go over it so I know it pretty well. By the time I get up there I’ll know the facts and material so well that I can only glance at them and say the information more from the hip and conversational - like!

Oh, my teacher told me the way, too. It is really useful to bring an index cards while the speech; in doing so, I needn’t to worry about whether I would forget what I want to say.
THANKS.

Watch how Obama speaks and try to imitate him.

It is really a good idea.

Remember to breathe. Seriously. You can even put a little symbol on your note card to remind you to pause occasionally rather than rushing to get to the end. You can even use that little pause to make eye contact with the audience if you want.

It gets easier.

ha… ;)

Oh, It is important to make eye contact with the audience, and I will try it. Thanks.:)

Well make eye contact but be sure to look back at the speech paper once in a while.
