How to prepare for CR after finishing Princeton, Barron's, Kaplan, etc...

Okay guys, I got a 650 on the CR, and I have absolutely no idea how I got that score; I took the reasoning again in December and got a 620 on CR! My overall raw scores improved, by my actual scores decreased (stupid curve)!

I am strong in sentence completion (with 3 wrong on the October test and 1 wrong on the December test). How do you guys prepare for the reading comprehension?

I finished tests published by Kaplan, Barron's, Princeton Review, McGrall-Hill, Peterson, and the College Board official blue book etc... and still ONLY got a superscore of 2140 (CR650/M780/W710 - 12/12). How do I efficiently prepare for the Critical Reading section (I have spent a year and a half preparing for reasoning because English is NOT my first language, and I am proud of how far I have come.)

However, 2140 is really not good enough for me, especially the CR section. I am so frustrated with CB that I'll try out the ACT in February. I might come back to SAT Reasoning in October or November after summer.

Any tips? comments? advice? You call!

Many people get stuck around this score and can't get any higher. Try finding your weak spots and then figure out what you really need to work on. It's similar to how a weightlifter will increase his overall lift by working out his weak muscles.

One of the big things would be vocabulary.

Also try reading comprehension passages. Try all those strategies from Kaplan and Princeton Review and see what works best for you on your practice tests.

Remember, the SAT only tests how well you can take the SAT, not on your reading and math skills.

Best of luck to you.
