i am current a hs senior, about to graduate and going to attend ucla/bc/nyu

i will be majoring in economics, most likely

i want to ensure i maintain a HIGH GPA throughout the first year so that i can transfer to a business school for my soph year (still thinking about this).

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO PREPARE FOR ECONOMICS?
WHAT MATH SHOULD I MASTER?
WHAT KIND OF CALCULUS?
STATISTICS?

thanks

If you are planning to transfer to business for your sophomore year, then no preparation is needed, as you will just be taking principles of micro/macro. These are conceptual classes without a lot of math outside of basic algebra.

You need to figure out what business schools you want to transfer to, then decide what classes you need to take. If you don’t do that, your options will be limited.

I don’t understand what you mean by transferring to a business school? The schools you named have their own business schools.

You don’t specific preparation for an economics major. You learn the math as you take the classes. Of course, some schools have specific transfer requirements, which you’ll need to look up for each school.
