I got a 2000 on the SAT, and unless my ACT/Writing score is phenomenal, I plan on retaking the SAT in the fall. I don’t own the official College Board book because I borrowed a copy from the library when I was preparing for the first test. That said, without the book, what are some ways I can work to improve my scores over the summer?
For reference, I got a 680 on CR, 660 on Math, 660 on Writing, 8 on the essay.
The blue book is the best one. Can you order it?
Can you borrow it from a friend?
A lot of practice and look for the mistakes that you made on the tests. Learn how to do them to not get the same mistakes again.
is there any suggestions on what kinds of apt books to read? Also does anyone know are there any free and good apps for preparation for SAT esp. CR section?
@maxima I think there’s an app that gives you a daily SAT question. My one friend used it to prep for her retake and her score jumped from somewhere in the 1600s to somewhere in the 1800s. I can’t remember exactly what it’s called but it probably isn’t too difficult to find!
I think Quizlet is great, but you have to find a class or group of sets with well chosen SAT words. Search around and you’ll surely find something great on there. Best on the computer (the “Learn” mode algorithms are terrific), but the app is good too.
