How to prove my proficiency?

Hello!
I am a junior currently studying in Mexico. My first language is Spanish, but I also speak English and French fluently. I am taking IB Spanish Literature and AP English literature, but how can I prove my proficiency in French? I am debating on wether taking AP French+French SAT Subject or taking the DALF exam. I know the DALF is widely recognized in Europe, but I want to go to college in the USA.
What would you suggest?
Thanks!

Read more books about the how the people akcent in that language!

Check the colleges and universities you are interested in to see what they accept as proof of fluency and literacy in a language. But if you are not sure, you can take all of the AP, SAT Subject, and DALF tests for French.

I will ask, but probably end up taking both APs and SAT subjects although the DALF actually requires studying and tutoring… but maybe it is worth it?

The SAT Subject Test is a good way - it’s pretty challenging, plus since many native speakers take it, if you get a high percentile, it means a lot! Also, it’s offered many times during the year, as opposed to the AP test.
