okay so i got into architectural engineering which maryland doe not have. maryland is my home state and i was wondering if i qualify to ask for the in-state tuition since maryland does not offer the major. what are the steps in doing so and is this even possible? thanks!

You need to check to see if Penn has a tuition reciprocity program with Maryland. To be honest, I do not believe they do. Are you saying that there are NO public universities in Maryland that offer architectural engineering?

It seems there aren’t. U MD has an architecture program but not Arch Eng (according to the CB database).

There are other instate publics beside UMD…do any of the others have architectural engineering.

According to the CB database, not in MD. The closest one would be in DC. I’m not sure if that is authoritative, though.

Maryland does participate in the Academic Common Market, unfortunately PA does not. Unless MD has some other program that would allow you to receive/use your MD grants in PA, you’re probably looking at getting instate rates at Oklahoma State for architectural engineering or U So. Miss for arch eng technology. Don’t know if MD has an additional approval process to qualify these schools/programs though.
