How to raise ACT score?

Hi all! I am a senior and will be retaking the ACT this September. When I took it in April, I scored a 29. While this is competitive for the schools I am interested in, I am looking to raise it to a 31-32 so that I will receive more scholarships. Here is a breakdown of my score:

Composite: 29

English: 29
Usage/Mechanics: 17
Rhetorical Skills: 14

Mathematics: 26
Pre-Algebra: 15
Algebra/Coord Geometry: 12
Plane Geometry/Trig: 15

Reading: 30
Social Studies/Sciences: 16
Arts/Literature: 15

Science: 31

Combined English/Writing: 27
Essay: 8

As you can see, math is my poorest. I think my main problem was that I ran out of time on that section. I’m good at math, it just takes me a while to solve the problems (my calculator also wouldn’t work so that probably hurt me too).
Anyway, please let me know of any tips you have to help me. Thanks!

Keep practicing. There are a lot of ACT tests out there (legally, of course). Get the Red Book as it has 5 real tests. Here are four more (just google them and they’ll be there): http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/1578135-official-act-practice-tests-complete-list-of-public-tests-p1.html

Most important tip: Keep practicing. Also, don’t spend so much time on Math that you’ll hurt the other sections. In my experience, it was pretty easy in a short time to forget how to ace the ACT. But don’t worry: practice makes perfect.
