First quarter of Junior year and I'm doing average, I have six classes this semester and I have all B's, a C and D. wow

Latin is the D i have this because we only have 1 test and 3 small quizzes in the grade book which I failed, he's gonna give us a project maybe which I will probably ace for sure, I can see that being a C in the end for the quarter. Bu the thing is I have a 79 in Algebra which I am trying so hard in. Please i know people on this board get straight A's I don't need sarcastic comments can I just get some advice.

Church History- 92 B
Latin-74 D
Algebra 2 -79 C
English 3A-88 B
Euro AP-89 B
Chemistry-86 B

facepalm

any tips please, sorry I had to rush to type this that's why there are so many grammatical errors.

I was gonna say “sleep with your teacher”, but then I saw you asked for no sarcastic comments, so I’m not gonna say it.

Seriously, just study hard. Find a your own studying method, something thay wil work for you. Maybe a study group? Or late night study sessions…Or…something else :)

Awe. You’re on the 7 point system. That sucks.

Ask your teachers for help/extra credit. Show them that you’re trying by doing all of your work. Teachers are more willing to help students are giving it 100% than student’s who are giving it 50%.

First, the 7 point system sucks. I feel for ya’.

Second, I use the following strategies:
-Do your homework and do it correctly, even if it’s not checked. This counts for so much.
-Read the textbook.
-Actually listen to the lectures, and take notes.
-Re-read your notes and cross it with the textbook while studying
-Do ALL of the practice problems in the back of the book while studying.
-Ask for extra credit. It sounds like your school is annoying and might refuse to give it but sometimes there’s a nice teacher that will ignore school rules.

If after this, your grades still don’t improve, take more drastic measures:
-Go to peer tutoring or whatever equivalent service your school provides.
-Drop EC’s for more study time.
-Limit TV/computer/video game/“fun” time to about 1 hour on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends and spend the rest of the time studying or working ahead.
-Ask your parents to help you with your homework and edit your essays.
