Okay, so I got a 770 in CR (which I am very proud of, given that it is the arguably the hardest section to do well on) but I got a 660 in Math (Shocker, given that I took Calc BC as a junior..) and a 680 with a 9 essay on Writing

My question is, what is the best way to raise Writing and Math scores?? I got my hands on Grammatix for Wr and I got the new Gruber's Edition - haven't looked at them yet, but I don't know how much these things will help me.

Since you are clearly advanced in mathematics, I would suspect that you’re just making careless errors. For the writing score, boost up your essay score by doing real essay prompts of the SAT from CollegeBoard’s website.

You should go over your practice tests and see how and why you messed up. Was it nerves, the time pressure, careless mistakes, or did you just not know how to do them?

Regarding the math, immediately after taking the test, did you feel confident or did you feel that the test was tricky?

If the former, you just need to avoid making silly mistakes. I am in a similar situation (will take Calc BC in junior year), and when I took the SAT in 9th grade, I felt fairly confident that I aced the math section, alas, 3 silly mistakes brought me down to a 720. Just make sure that you are meticulous with your calculations.

If the latter, I really don’t have much advice so follow someone else’s.

As for writing, I’m no essay expert but check out AcademicHacker’s thread. It seems that his format can get you at least a 10. What is likely weighing down your score, however, is the grammar. Take a look at this link:
