How to raise my ACT score

Hey guys so I got my ACT score back and I did not do as well as I had hoped. I plan on retaking the ACT at the end of September. My composite score was a 22. I hope to improve this by hopefully 7-10 points. For anyone that was in the same situation as I am what advice can you give me? I am so upset about these scores as I have a 4.0 weighted GPA and was expecting to do way better. I will study as much as possible but I really need some guidance.

What have you done in the way of prep so far? Give us an idea of where you are with that so we can perhaps suggest new strategies.

The only prep I’ve done is out my Princeton review ACT book. I read through all the chapters and I took one practice test at the end of the book which my scores were:
English: 25
Math: 26
Reading: 31
Science: 23

on the actual ACT I got
English:22
Math: 23
Reading:21
Science: 20

and an 8 on my essay

one reason I think I did so differently on the test was being more stressed out with that I didn’t pace myself enough. When I did each of these test I timed myself so I’m not sure why they are so different

Practice, review concepts, and maybe get a tutor! You have time to prepare, so make it count! Good luck!!

DUDE! I’m in the same situation as you like I get a GPA of 4.0 but get 21 as a composition so I’m just studying 24/7 to raise it to the 30’s. Good luck man hope you can get into the 30’s

Lol I got a 22 with a 8 on the essay and also have a 4.0. I am trying to get are least a 29
