How to receive financial aid?

@Niroshan, in your case I really do recommend applying to some universities that you can pay for without aid just in case. As thumper mentioned in the earlier post, most of the universities you have chosen give little aid and/or are need-aware for international students, so you want to have a backup plan in case this doesn’t work the way you want. Hopefully you will do well on the SATs when you take them but even if you do it is still a matter of luck for anyone when applying to Yale – there’s no guarantee. If you can find a school that costs about $30,000 (including travel and living expenses, not just tuition) that would be very smart just to ensure that in the fall you know there is at least one place where you can go to school. Don’t give up hope on other schools but just have a backup plan.

Good luck!
