So to make a long story short after I saw my first transcript freshman year I really stepped up my academics/clubs and worked hard. After my second semester Junior Year, especially after AP testing, I lost a lot of motivation and got my first C in two years(all As before that). I am trying to study for the SAT and ACT and make a 2300 and 36 respectively on both tests but I am having trouble finding the motivation. BTW summers been going on for 2 weeks and I have done nothing beside study for my ACT last week and play basketball even thought I have a lot of AP classes to self study. Maybe its because I know I have done enough for most colleges I'm applying to? Any suggestions?

Think about how ■■■■■■ you’ll feel if you don’t meet your goals and you realize it’s totally your fault for being lazy

I always tell myself that someday I will be on my deathbed and I’ll feel bad for procrastinating mindlessly when I could have been filling my head with knowledge. It usually doesn’t work.

Why do you think it’s important to be motivated?

My freshman year was a total bust consisting of mediocre grades and course load… This year (sophomore) I took two APs, selected my dream school, tested out of some more AP prerequisites; basically got my act together and planned for the future. I am very ambitious and enjoy being busy and I also LOVE school so both of those help. Hopefully that wasn’t too rambly :)

I suggest you do something fun like party!!! But in all seriousness (not that my first suggestion wasn’t serious) you’ll become motivated in your own time, it’s not something you can rush. Until then though have fun and don’t try to force yourself to be motivated. Have fun!
