How to save $ sending test scores ??

I am trying to figure out the best & cheapest way to send your SAT scores. Do you keep your top 4 favorite Schools the same each time you take the test. So ultimately the will super score or pick the best? Then if you are sending out 5 more apps you pay an additional $9.50 for the rest of the applications? What if you took the SATs 3 times-- should you mix and match who you want to send it to on each test?

What's the deal now that you get to choose which score you select.

On College Board website it says:

Students can select the four score report requests included in the registration up until 11:59 p.m. on the Monday nine days after the published test date. Score reports selected after that are subject to the regular score report fee.

Does this mean you can select the 4 schools 9 days after you took the test? So if you felt you did poorly you wouldn't choose to send it?

We ended up paying $9.5 for 7 more schools ($70) + 3 SAT tests ($135) + SAT II $38 + $650 in a SAT prep= $900 in SAT expense--- Almost $250 to the College Board-- quite a money maker just to be meausred & tortured! (Also did an ACT test)

It’s sad-- 74 views and nobody has an answer yet. I suspect the sending of the test scores is really a hidden money maker for CB. i.e. – you get 4 free ones (if the student remember to submit the 4 college codes, in a timely fashion & are they really the schools he will be applying to-- what Junior knows what 4 schools they will apply to in Mar/ May/Jun) and send off 6 more – that’s an extra $60. But if the student at the last minute decideds to take SAT again (lets say Nov) they have tto re-request the new grades to be sent…
