Hey guys, I've been trying really hard to cross the 2300 barrier. On my practice tests I'm usually around 2280, but when I do the scoring ranges for the Blue book I usually get like 2200 - 2340.

I normally have family friends who have gotten 2300+ read my essays and they grade it 5/6 or 10/12.

In writing (and on the actual test) I usually miss anywhere from 1 - 3 total, which brings my writing score down anywhere from an 800 to a 750

And I usually miss anywhere from 1 - 3 in math (sometimes 2 grid ins only, thankfully) which brings me down anywhere from a 750 - 800.

In reading I miss anywhere from 5 - 10, which brings my CR score anywhere from 760 down to 700.

How can I improve before tomorrow? I always get my sentence completions correct on both practice and actual SATs. Are my Blue Book Scores possibly hinting toward my actual SAT score?

For the critical reading section, make sure you understand what it’s about and most importantly, why the author wrote it. In the margin next to the text, scribble some brief notes (5 words maybe?) to summarise the purpose of the paragraph. That way, when you come to answering questions, those notes will remind you of what each paragraph is about.

It depends on the individual. For example, I like natural science passages in the critical reading so if I get one then I might think its very easy whereas others may find it difficult.

DON’T STRESS! In May, I missed 3 writing (12 essay), 5 CR, and 1 math to get a 780, 750, and 790 (respectively)…total 2320. I also took the SAT in January when I got a 2050…honestly, I didn’t even study that hard in between them…I only went through like 2 previously administered tests, but not even in one sitting. Just try to stay calm and think clearly. Also be very careful!
