How to Score a 5 On APUSH and APWH?

Hello everyone,

I am taking APWH and APUSH this May. Last year I took Human Geography and Psychology and scored a 5 on both. The college I am attending in the fall with only take 5's on APUSH and APWH. I think I could get a 4 on these exams if I took the exam today. What ways do you guys suggest studying to secure a 5 on both? Right now I have Direct Hits in a Flash and AMSCO for APUSH and REA Crash Course for APWH. I borrowed both books and they are pretty recent aside from the AMSCO book.

Thanks for any feedback! Any essay advice and test tips would be helpful

I hear that crash course for apush is good for a general summary of everything on the test as long as you already have in depth knowledge about it. It helps you retain the info.

any essay tips?

Write a lot. Literally for these, regurgitate all the information you know/learned about the info. More is better. They grade you on the quality AND quantity of your facts.

Writing is the key. No joke, especially on the content AP exams like the histories and sciences. Writing helps you to remember information and pull it back out in context of the exam.

I made a 4 on WHAP. The exam isn’t so much detail as it is knowing the general gist of what was going on and the trends created therein. Know qualities of all the major civilizations AT SPECIFIC TIMES.

I did make a 5 on APUSH! I crammed the Princeton Review book, which I quite enjoyed. I’ve heard the AMSCO book is also excellent, as well as free and online.
