How to Self-Study for AP US Gov?

After a conflicting schedule with AP Biology, I decided that I ultimately either had to take AP US Gov online (0.75, really 0.5, credit) or not take it at all. I decided to take it online, but didn’t realize that the program that our provider used was Florida Virtual Learning School. If you don’t already know, at least with AP Gov, it barely teaches the content, with nearly all of the homework and quizzes I have done either being opinionated or something that I learned in middle school (One of the quizzes is matching the first ten amendments to their number; It took me less than 3 minutes to get 100!). I want to sort of drop the course, but I will get an extra study (It counts as a credit, but the grade is not towards my GPA), the information sounds interesting, and I really don’t want to have to take the course in college. As I get around 3 hours and 30 minutes each week for that study in total, I was curious to know what would be the best way to self study. Is there a specific prep book that would help me learn the material.

What makes you think you will need to take a course on US government in college? Do you have a particular college in mind?

Go to Amazon and look at the reviews for the available prep books.

I’m self-studying too, my AP Gov teacher was so useless last semester and I learned nothing. I’m using the Princeton review premium edition, and I am using the Cengage American Government and Politics Today textbook. From what I’ve heard, the APGov exam is really more on just studying the content. Adam Norris on youtube has some videos for AP Gov, I’d check those out. Best of luck studying!
